  • Instrumentation Works for Powergrid North-South, East West and Jurong Tunnels

Land Transport Authority Contract T3122 - Instrumentation & Monitoring Works

The project is a fully underground 4-car mass RTS and comprises one (1) underground station with Cut & Cover tunnels and associated Works.

The adversarial nature of this project to ensure that communication and transparency of information are not challenged, and government funds are spent wisely GEOMOTION was selected as Instrumentation and monitoring contractor. The role of the instrumentation contractor was to install several types of instruments as per contractual requirements and provide a unified database for the use of the project. The construction of this project is most challenging for LTA, traversing through varied and mixed ground conditions and excavating near many downtown buildings and roads. It will require a number of detours and diversions – all to ensure that the stations could be built safety and with as little impact on existing buildings and structures. Construction under or near busy roads such as Upper East Coast Road means trying to limit ground movement - no small task considering tons of earth have to be excavated. Geomotion Singapore has successfully completed more than 90% of instruments installation works on this project.

Ground Instrumentation and Monitoring for Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) Construction Works

Innovative long-term planning and advanced engineering at the upcoming Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) in Singapore will enable the island nation to reap the benefits of energy and resource recovery maximization for years to come. The IWMF is an integral part of the National Environment Agency’s (NEA) long term plan to meet Singapore’s solid waste management needs. The Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility within the IWMF will be designed with an incineration capacity of 5,800 tons per day (tpd) making it one of the largest in the world. In addition to the treatment of incinerable waste, the IWMF will also process source-segregated food waste, household recyclables collected from the National Recycling Programme (NRP) and dewatered sludge from an adjacent used water treatment plant, the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP). Geomotion Singapore is providing services of instrumentation and monitoring works on this project.
